The brief
Context, role and commercial problem
- Context
- An independent information project that signposts established UK support services. It does not provide counselling, diagnosis or medical advice.
- My role
- Information architecture, content hierarchy, accessible interaction design, frontend implementation, testing and GitHub Pages deployment.
- Problem
- People looking for mental-health support may be distressed, uncertain or short on time. The interface needed to prioritise immediate danger, urgent clinical help and listening services without forcing visitors through dense content.

Functionality and decisions
Important functionality
- Persistent emergency guidance and direct call actions
- Routes for immediate danger, urgent help, listening and ongoing support
- UK-wide signposting with nation-specific guidance where required
- Keyboard-accessible navigation and visible focus treatment
- Responsive, dependency-free static delivery
Technical and product decisions
- 01Put safety-critical actions before explanatory content.
- 02Used plain-language choices instead of diagnostic categories.
- 03Kept navigation usable without JavaScript and respected reduced-motion preferences.
- 04Linked visitors to established services rather than presenting the site as a care provider.
